About
I’m EZ. I design and build websites for businesses and organizations that are serious about their online goals.
I grew up in LaGrange, Georgia, where designing graphics and tinkering with websites began as a teenage hobby and quickly became the thing I knew I wanted to do. I studied graphic design at SCAD for a bit, but I was itching to build for real clients, so I moved to Atlanta and went straight to work as a freelance and contract web designer. I’ve been at it ever since.
I’ve worked plenty of ways since then. Solo, as an agency owner in the Atlanta area, and as the lead on bigger efforts. My best work always came from the same place: being the one person who understood the whole picture, the strategy, the design, the code, and the business it was all for. So I leaned all the way into that. When a job genuinely calls for a specialist, I bring in people I trust and stay accountable for all of it, but the core work is mine.
Today, some of my clients are corporate teams who keep me on retainer as their fractional web director. Others need a site built right the first time, an old one brought back to life, or a group of sites kept running for years. Some of the clients I picked up in those early Atlanta years are still with me today, and that’s the part I’m proudest of. People don’t keep one person around that long unless the work is better than the alternative.
When I’m not working, I’m a husband and a girl dad. My wife and I are raising our two daughters in McCalla (just outside Birmingham) and we do a lot of life in Hoover and Vestavia for church, sports, etc. I’ve also been a car guy my whole life, so I love getting to work with gearheads when I can.
Most people call me EZ. Some call me Ethan. Either works. If you want someone who will learn your business, do the work, and still be here next year, that’s me. Let’s talk.
